[LP01] Please read the following paragraphs, which are part of your Enrollment Agreement, and which cover your rights and responsibilites as a purchaser of educational services from World University of America, hereinafter referred to as the "school":
[LP02] PROBLEMS: ANY QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS CONCERNING THIS SCHOOL WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN SATISFACTORILY ANSWERED OR RESOLVED BY THE SCHOOL SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education 1027-10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814-3517, (916) 445-3427.
[LP03] AGREEMENT: This Agreement is a legally binding instrument when submitted by the student, accepted by the school, and confirmed by completed payment of tuition and fees listed. Your submission of this Agreement (by clicking on the SUBMIT button, or by mailing the School a signed, printed copy) acknowledges that you have MADE A PRINTED COPY FOR YOURSELF and have taken a reasonable amount of time to read and understand it and that you have been given: (a) a written statement of the refund policy including examples of how it applies (included below on this form); and, (b) a catalog including a description of the course or educational service including all material facts concerning the school and the program or course of instruction which are likely to affect your decision to enroll (available online, please click here to print yourself a copy). For those who pay by credit card, submitting this Agreement by clicking the SUBMIT button and including on this form valid credit card information that allows for the completed payment of the tuition and fees listed, indicates your intention that your electronic submission be considered the full equivalent in all respects of a paper admission agreement signed by you. Immediately upon submission, your will receive an e-mail copy to retain for your records.
[LP04] BUYER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL. The student has a right to cancel this enrollment agreement and obtain a refund. You may cancel this contract, and receive a refund, by submitting a written notice to this school by midnight following the first day of scheduled instruction. The appropriate form is available in the school catalog if you wish to cancel this contract, but your notice may take any form as long as it is written and states that you no longer wish to be bound by this agreement. Your notice must be delivered to: Registrar, World University P.O. Box 1567, Ojai, CA 93024-1567. If delivery of the cancellation form (or other notice) is by mail, the notice must be postmarked on or before the date that the notice is required.
[LP05] REFUND INFORMATION. The student has a right to a full refund of all charges less the amount of $50 for the registration/Library fee if he/she cancels this agreement prior to midnight following the first day of instruction. The amount retained for the registration fee may not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). In addition, the student may withdraw from a course after instruction has started and receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion of the tuition and other refundable charges if the student has completed 60% or less of the instruction. For example, if the student completes only 40 hours on a 90-hour course and paid $300.00 tuition, the student would receive a refund of $166.80, as explained in the following example.
REFUND EXAMPLE: [LP06]
$400 total paid MINUS $100 Reg. Fee = $300 total refundable
$300 tuition DIVIDED BY 90 hours in prog. = $3.33 tuition per hr.
$3.33 rate MULTIPLIED BY 40 hrs attended = $133.20 tuition due
$300 tuition MINUS $133.20 due = $166.80 refund
[LP07] OTHER REFUNDS: The school will also refund money collected from a third party on the student’s behalf such as license or application fees. If the school cancels or discontinues a course or educational program, the school will make a full refund of all charges. Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation or withdrawal.
